Dadi Education Central successfully hosted its 2nd Cultures and Arts Festival at the JC Cube in Tai Kwun on 21 September, attracting an enthusiastic audience of more than 150 students, parents, and educators.

The event opened with an immersive VR experience titled Prelude: Between Reality and Virtuality – A VR Adventure, which transported families into the ancient landscapes and trade routes of the Silk Road. Following this digital journey, students presented a series of stage performances that reimagined classic stories and artistic traditions through music, poetry, and dance. From Changan: A Journey of Poetry and Music to Dunhuang: Stunning Poems and Paintings, Loulan: Moon Spring Rebirth, and the finale Modern Classroom: Cultural Heritage, each act represented a different chapter of the Silk Road’s cultural legacy.
Drawing inspiration from beloved Chinese literary and artistic works such as “Ode to the Goose,” “Spring Dawn,” “The Little Tang Figurines,” and “Camel Traders,” students combined elegant choreography, expressive recitations, and dynamic visual storytelling to bring ancient poems and paintings vividly to life. The performances highlighted the spirit of exploration, resilience, and creativity that defined the Silk Road era, interpreted through the eyes of a new generation.
Principal Catherine Chen remarked: “This festival is more than a performance, it’s a journey into culture, language, and imagination. Through music, poetry, and dance, our students not only gained confidence and expression, but also connected deeply with Chinese cultural identity. We are incredibly proud of how they brought the spirit of the Silk Road to life.”
The Dadi Education Cultures and Arts Festival serves as a platform to integrate classroom learning with experiential arts education, inspiring creativity, teamwork, and appreciation for heritage. It reflects Dadi’s mission to nurture globally minded children who are rooted in culture and confident in expression.
